WHO WE ARE

Our Roots

We work through the principals and school counselors to reach these children. Putnam
Shoes For Children is a 501(c)(3) organization and has a Board of Directors that consist
of five individuals. We have provided over 3,000 pairs of shoes to the children in need.
Without proper fitting shoes, children cannot run, jump, and play like other children.
Creating a positive recess climate helps students to be engaged in meaningful play and
return to class ready to learn. Exercising more means a healthier brain which leads to
children learning more.
They can sit in comfort and really listen to what is being taught which enhances their
concentration levels and learning abilities. All the issues mentioned above are a product
of how a child's life is now or how a child can be with such a simple thing as a pair of
new shoes.
You or your company may participate by donating monies, employees having a Putnam
Shoes for Children campaign to raise monies, or purchase shoes to donate. Your
participation is greatly needed for this program to succeed! We look forward to working
